Advanced Home Winemaking - Saturday August 29 12-4pm

$100.00

Advanced Winemaking is for the at home winemaker who’s made a couple of batches of wine from fresh grapes or wine kits and wants to expand their knowledge. We’ll cover more advanced aspects of winemaking like:

  • Different winemaking techniques (including cold soaking, whole cluster fermentation, natural yeast fermentations to name a few)
  • Use of additions beyond the sulphur, sugar, and acid
  • Fault detection and correction.
Samples from previous batches of wine that I've made will be provided. We will also walk through making a batch of wine from grapes. Attendees should feel free to bring their own questions if they desire.

This class will be taught by Keith Crowell, co-founder of Les Voleurs wine and The Wine Thieves Wine Club. Keith began making wine with Oak Barrel Winecraft in 2008 and applied the skills he learned to launch a successful wine club and professional winery.
